About Ecumenical Theological Seminary - Baguio, Phil.

President's Welcome,

Welcome to the Ecumenical Theological Seminary (ETS) here in Baguio City, Philippines!

ETS is one of the six ministerial formation centers of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP).  However, being ecumenical in orientation, it is open to all denominations and nationalities. Established in 1996 with 35 students, it has grown through the years “ministering through relevant theological education” as its motto goes.  Its curricular programs are modular and ladderized, and it follows an action-reflection approach to theological education.

All students are assigned in local churches, and they come to the seminary once a month for a week of lectures, discussions, and examinations. With its Open Seminary Program, it tries to bring seminary education to where the people are, and equip and train them where they are.  Its relatively low seminary fees makes theological education accessible and affordable to poor churches in need of well-equipped formally trained church workers.

Sincerely,

   Rev. Luna L. Dingayan
